At the Z Hotel, we aim to offer our guests luxury and comfort blended with contemporary design. Each guest room comes with Travertine Marble floors imported from Turkey, Italian designer bathroom suites, crisp cotton bed linen from Egypt and bespoke furniture exclusive to the Z Hotel made from locally sourced coconut wood.
There are 5 room designs: Garden & Sea View, Roof-Top Suites, Ocean Front Cottages with private decks over the sea and for the ultimate in opulence, there’s our 70 sq metre Z Suite with 2 terraces.
Each bedroom has French doors, set in floor to ceiling glass which lead onto a balcony with views over our landscaped tropical garden and out across the crystal blue waters of the Indian Ocean to the magnificent Zanzibari sunset on the distant horizon.
Our Garden View rooms occupy the ground floor and offer easy access to the tropical gardens, pool, and beach — the perfect spot to enjoy the wonderful aromas of equatorial plants and flowers.
The Sea View rooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors and offer panoramic views from the northern tip of Nungwi across to the distant Tanga Mountains, continuing down the island’s west coast. Natural light floods the rooms until evening, when the blood-red sun finally drops below the far edge of the horizon.
Please note: Our Sea View rooms are not all directly facing the sea. Some views may be from the side, and some may include palm trees between the balcony and the shoreline. We therefore cannot guarantee direct, unobstructed sea views.
With over 50 square metres of living space, our light and airy rooftop suites include all the benefits of our deluxe rooms, along with many additional features.
Perched on top of the building, they feature a double-height beamed ceiling, spacious private terrace, uninterrupted views across the indian ocean to the tanga mountains in the far distance.
Our two oceanfront cottages offer 60 square metres of living space arranged over two floors, with a living room on the ground floor and a bedroom on the 1st floor.
Situated separately from the rest of the hotel, the cottages provide complete privacy, with only the seemingly endless seascape of the Indian Ocean gently lapping beneath you.
Our stunning, light, and airy Signature Suite offers 70 square metres of opulent living space arranged across an entire rooftop, with fully fold-back doors that create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor areas.
In addition to the features in our roof-top suites, the Z suite also incorporates a 45m wrap-around terrace, a separate sitting room with a sofa and 2 x armchairs and sleeping area with a queen size bed,
